At Stichting Sarya, we only provide treatment to patients who fall within our area of expertise, available treatment options, and organizational framework. Below, we clearly outline the situations in which we are unable to offer care.
1. Insurance: contracted care only
We exclusively treat patients who are insured with a health insurer that has a contract with Stichting Sarya.
Are you insured with a non-contracted insurer? Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide care.
View the current list of contracted health insurers here: https://stichtingsarya.nl/praktijkinformatie/kosten-en-vergoeding/
2. Age: 18 to 67 years
We only treat adults between the ages of 18 and 67.
Our care is tailored to the life stages from young adulthood up to retirement age.
We do not provide care to:
-
Minors (under 18 years old)
-
Seniors above retirement age
3. Region and travel distance
Our practice is located in Rotterdam-North.
We only treat patients who live in Rotterdam and the immediate surrounding area.
Do you live more than approximately 30 kilometers from our practice? Unfortunately, we cannot offer treatment due to practical limitations in accessibility and continuity of care.
4. Online treatment: only in combination with physical attendance
We offer partially online treatment.
Fully online treatment is not possible. Physical presence at our location is required for:
-
Intake and evaluation consultations
-
Essential parts of the treatment
5. Cooperation with your general practitioner (GP)
For safe and effective care, we believe collaboration with your GP is essential.
We therefore always ask for your consent to share information with your GP, if needed.
If you do not give consent, unfortunately we cannot take you into treatment.
6. Medical and practical exclusions
We do not treat patients who:
-
Are acutely suicidal or in need of crisis care (we do not offer 24/7 care)
-
Have an active addiction that interferes with treatment
-
Do not have a fixed residence or address
-
Are unable to enter into a treatment agreement (e.g. due to severe cognitive or legal limitations)
- Have autism, when the nature of their difficulties or care needs falls outside our treatment setting and area of expertise;
- Have psychotic symptoms or a psychotic disorder, when specialized psychiatric treatment or crisis intervention is required;
- Have schizophrenia, when the nature or severity of their condition is not compatible with the treatment we provide;
- Have a mild intellectual disability (LVB), when this significantly limits their ability to engage with or benefit from the treatment offered.
