Treatment Offer

Treatment at Stichting Sarya consists of various conversations and treatment techniques that we determine together with you and record in the treatment plan. The treatment preferably takes place face-to-face, but can also be supported by telephone treatments, eHealth treatments and / or group treatment. The choice of a (combination of) treatment technique is determined in consultation with you, taking into account any previously achieved treatment results and treatment history, other intended effects, (expected) side effects and interactions.

If it appears that there is insufficient added value of the treatment, the treatment can be adjusted, transferred or terminated.

The most commonly used treatment techniques and their purpose are:

Activation / day structuring Help with a good day structure with attention to eating, exercising and sleeping
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Getting an explanation of our thoughts and together detecting thinking errors or thoughts that lead to psychological problems
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Learning different skills to respond to problems and to learn how to deal with crises.
Emotion Regulation Learning how to deal with (strong) emotions
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) A technique that helps process bad memories or events by reducing the emotional charge.
Pharmacotherapy Symptom reduction and supporting the therapeutic treatment with medication
Group training; Empowerment Rediscover your own strength
Imaginary Exposure A technique that helps to process negative memories or events, by being safely exposed to the memory or event together.
Individual Psychotherapy Effective talking treatment method that reduces psychological complaints and/or makes them more manageable.
Psychoeducation Getting an explanation and learning to understand where complaints come from and how to deal with them
Schema Therapy Recognizing old dysfunctional schemas, unpleasant feelings and (behavioral) patterns in order to gain a better grip on them or to change them
Somatic Experience / Body-oriented Trauma Therapy Perceiving physical sensations, to help the body release tension and thereby heal the trauma
Somatic Screening Getting a picture of the physical health, lifestyle and possible side effects of medication
Supportive and Structuring Conversations Getting support and help to achieve a healthier lifestyle
